Arrive on the afternoon of Friday 5 September and meet up with old friends and make new ones from 18.00 for a buffet dinner at 19.00.

Saturday evening will be a Pit Stop dinner to celebrate “Body & Mind”.
On Sunday, there is a planned visit to Wartburg Castle.
Park your TR at the Automobile Welt Eisenach to explore the technology museum located in one of the oldest car factories in the world. An oldtimer bus will take groups up to the Wartburg Castle for a guided tour of this 1,000 year old castle and it fascinating history.
Lunch will be provided in the old canteen built by BMW in 1936, now also a museum.
Visits to the castle, museums and lunch are included.
On the way back to the hotel, you can also visit the Gradierwerk Bad Salzungen (graduation house) if you have the time.
Monday can be spent exploring the Wasserkuppe, a mountain plateau, or roads and places to visit across the Biosphere Reserve Rhön. Click here for Weekend visit suggestions.
Alternatively, an optional visit to the Glider museum and workshop for vintage glider at Wasserkuppe where a guided tour of the workshop will be given by Georg, a TR-IG club member. The guided tour is limited to 100 people in 5 groups of 20 and there is a charge of €15 person including entrance fee for the museum. Parking for this visit will be at the workshop. If you wish to take this guided tour then please book it when you book your place on the weekend. Please note bookings for the guided tour are per person. For example if two people wish to take the tour then please add two tours to your booking.
Sadly we say farewell to many friends on Tuesday morning as they depart for home as the European TR Meeting Germany comes to a close.
However, if you wish to spend more time in the region there are two possibilities:
Join the pre-meeting by arriving at the weekend hotel on Thursday 4 September for a guided tour of Bad Hersfeld on the Friday before the weekend.
After the weekend meeting, join the 4 night tour to Würzburg and Sinsheim from Tuesday 9 September to Saturday 13 September.
